    Event details:
    1. Registration will be capped at 75 entries per event.

    2. Pricing - $110 per event. If registration is completed for all three events the same day a discount of $10/events will be refunded.

    3. Operational details - 75 entries, 3 run groups of 25 sorted by class. At the beginning of each group we’ll do one parade lap and then 4 hot laps. Second session will follow immediately after, no parade lap running as many laps as possible depending on number of entries.

    4. Scoring - fastest lap from each session will be added for a composite time. Top times from each group get 100 points, second 95, third 90..etc.

    5. Information on classing can be found at SCCA.com under TimeTrials. The basic classing will stay the same but some of the detailed rules have been simplified those will be posed at UtahSCCA.com/forums/time trial.

    6. Events should be visible in MotorsportsREG today and will open for registration tomorrow - Saturday May 26 at noon Mountain time.

    7. Work assignments - there aren’t any when you are not making laps you have time to hang out or make changes to your vehicle. We will need a small team of volunteers to assist the chair positions listed below more to come on this.
    Grid Chief - Tracy Pitkin
Registration and Timing Chief - Dale Pitkin
    Safety chief - Ralph Pensel
    Operation Chief - Kevin Schultz

Is there any plan for some trackcross days in 2019? I thought that the trackcross events were great, and would love to do some more!

David Benson is still working on figuring out how we can get our club on the track this year. Sadly, UMC has raised their prices for track rentals this year which makes it more difficult to plan events. The club has received a grant from the National Office to help fund some track events, so there is still hope that we will have some sort of event. If we have one it probably won't be the same as trackcross, but more like an HPDE type event.

An HPDE event would be great! I have one or two sons who may also be interested, but they are novice on track (have only done solo) and would need an instructor at the be with them at first. Will this be a possibility?

OK guys, looks like Tentatively reserved May 31st on the West side, July 12 on the East track, and August 9th on the East track. I say tentatively because I have told the track those are the dates we want from their list of open dates. However, a contract has not been signed yet. I just wanted to get out word as May 31st is sneaking up quick on us. So let all your friends know I will also make a real post for this separately tonight.

I believe the ruling was that passengers would not be allowed last year. This year will be the same rules as last year.
